Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more. John had a very sharp mind, which stood out even at a brainy place like CRS. He was very conscientious in his work and way more than competent. I found him endlessly interesting because he knew about everything, from Anglican doctrine to Hawaiian culture. We all miss him.

I enjoyed working with John at CRS. He was always helpful and shared his knowledge without hesitation. We shared a common interest in trains and travel. At Christmas he always gave me a train calendar for the next year. John was a good soul and I feel honored that I was able to be his co-worker and have him as a friend.

I did not know John well but whenever we met I would appreciate his humor and knowledge of a variety of subjects. I always felt better after our brief encounters over the many years we worked at the library.

That guy with the great hats and great two-liners----there was always more than one line----that I'd run into as we wandered between Union Station and LC. It was never dull and usually comedic which somehow always made at least one of us feel better and kind of helped the other---I guess our friendship just reignited at those moments even though we didn't hang out together. Great emotional memories.

I will miss you, John. You helped me in many ways from typing to helping get through bad times. Be at peace in God's Heaven.

John was a friend for most of my career at CRS. He almost always was in a good mood, even in the face of adversity. If you asked John for help with something he jumped in willingly and without complaint. I know its been a struggle for him these last few years, but fortunately he found Sue along the way. I've missed my daily contact with John since I retired. He was one of a kind. The good kind.

I had the pleasure to work with John Williamson for nearly 20 years at the Congressional Research Service. He was a vital part of our research team and also a very friendly colleague. We shared an interest in sports cars and John always had lots of information on new models which he brought to my attention. I miss my CRS days and John's friendship. May he rest in peace.

Jane and I both send you our very deepest condolences. We were so fond of John - he was my friend for over 50 years - and I will miss him greatly.

I worked with John in the Econ. Div. of the Congressional Research Service. John was always in a good mood and always wanted others to be happy too. At the time, he was a train enthusiast. He gave me one of my most beloved possessions: a replica of the original coffee cup on an old-time passenger train. We have lost a kind heart.

Sue, I am so sorry about John. He was by all accounts a great man and a wonderful husband to you. I know you are hurting. I may be far away, but I'm always a phone call away.
