Condolences to your family. May you receive comfort from the word of God during this time of loss. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44. Revelation 21:3,4 promises that one day death, mourning, and outcry will be no more. To find out more regarding the hope for the dead visit JW.org and search "death".

My prayers and condolences go out to Mrs. Cornelius's family. When one is born a person has no reputation but throughout their life they make a name for themselves. That is why God says at Ecclesiastes 7:1 that a name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one’s being born. Mrs. Cornelius has certainly made a good name for herself among many. To God, all of his loyal ones who have died faithful to him are as good as alive. Their resurrection is a certainty. May these wonderful promises comfort all of the family and friends and over time, change your tears of sorrow to tears of joy at the prospect of seeing your loved one again ... Ecclesiastes 7:1; John 3:16; 5:28, 29.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jo's death. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. I think of her as a kind, witty, genteel woman who had the soul of a saint. I was privileged to know her when she worked at the Office of Device Evaluation and it was through her that I was able to connect with her daughter, Beth, who I quickly hired because I knew the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That saying proved to be 100% correct.

Mary Jo was a wonderous woman - nice, smart, and wise. I ever worked with her in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. She was uniformly kind to everyone she met, even when she was sadly treated in an unkind way at work. She was funny, devout and loving. And she was so much fun to be with. Such a joyful person. I am so sad to know that she is not with us anymore. I know you will always carry good memories of her. I will. Shalom and love, Patricia Miller
