Trinidad Ruiz Basilio, 77, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away on August 18, 2018. Born in the Philippines to the late Francisco and Basilia Basilio. Trinidad worked for the United States Navy for 20 years. After retiring from the U.S. military he pursued a bachelor degree from University of Baguio and worked as a Medical Technician in the Walter Reed Naval Hospital, Bethesda for 20 years. After retiring, he lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; traveling, playing chess in the mall, chatting with friends and family, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving husband of 46 years of Luz Basilio; cherished father of Vanessa Pardo (Marlo), Jeffrey Basilio (Kristine), and Kristofer Basilio (Katie); beloved grandfather of Isabelle Pardo, Andrew Pardo, Kayla Basilio, Janelle Basilio, Maxwell Basilio, and Carter Basilio; treasured brother of Belen Basilio, Roberto Basilio, Irene Julian, and Agapito Basilio. Predeceased by his parents, as well as siblings Martin Basilio, Rufino Basilio, and Rosario Basilio.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, August 31, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 E. Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD. Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 201 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD.  Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. (please arrive at Administration Building by 8:15 a.m.).
