Edgardo Piansay, 48, passed away on November 14, 2017 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was born in the Philippines to Sulpicia and Umberto Piansay on September 9, 1969. In 1985, Ed and his mother, Sulpicia, moved to Maryland where Ed would live the rest of his life with his own family. Ed graduated from Oxon Hill High School where he met many of his closest lifetime friends. He later received his Associate’s Degree in Radiography from Prince George’s Community College. Over the years, Ed worked at different hospitals and outpatient centers throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Most recently, he was a Sr. CT Technician at Washington Hospital Center where he worked for over 17 years. To his colleagues, Ed was known as a hardworking, personable, and professional coworker, mentor, and friend who put great value on patient care. To his family, friends, and loved ones, he is remembered as a kind, supportive, and generous jokester, role model, and family man. He is survived by his wife, Mia, and their three children, Jackie, Mark, and James. Ed was an outstanding son, husband, father, and friend to many. He lit up the world with his smile and laughter, and will be greatly missed.
