Born in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1927, to Peter and Frances R. (Insana) Ullo, she was a cheerleader in high school and attended Michigan State University on an academic scholarship. She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Richard) Jackson of Williamsburg, VA; Sherry (Richard) Hurley, of Great Falls, VA; and Gail (Brian) Porter of North Potomac, MD, as well as a sister, Anita Whitmore of San Bernardino, CA.
