Margaret Mary Magdalen "Meg" Spaniol
Died peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at her family home in Bethesda, MD. Meg was 51. Meg was the beloved daughter of Joseph F. Spaniol, Jr. and the late Viola. Meg is also survived by siblings: Joseph (Suzanne), Robert (Angela), Mary Ellen Reed (Terrance), Thomas, Timothy (Susan), David, and Anne Paul; 13 nieces and nephews; and 5 grand nieces and nephews.
Meg was a graduate of Walter Johnson Senior High School, was active in the Adaptive Swim Program BCC-YMCA, Montgomery County Therapeutics Active Adult Weekend Club, Easter Seals Adult Program, Faith and Light, SPRED-CCD at St. Jane de Chantal, and Special Olympics swimming, and bowling. Meg was employed by the Centers for the Hanidcapped, Inc. (CHI) for nearly 25 years. .
She enjoyed vacationing with family at Bethany Beach, dancing, basketball, frisbee and ping-pong. Meg also had an affinity for action adventure movies and classic rock music.
The family will receive friends at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave. Bethesda, MD, on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 11:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
