Martins Emeka Njoku
Service: August 7, 2020 (Friday) - Private
Location: DeVol Funeral Home, Gaithersburg, MD

Martins Emeka Njoku is survived by his wife Joyce Njoku and son Nnamdi Atins Njoku. He had a very caring family of brothers and sisters Emmanuel Njoku, Damian Njoku, Victor Njoku, Justina Obasi, Juliana Kwasi and the late Benjamin Njoku. Martins Njoku was born on May 5, 1956 to Herbert Ogbonna Njoku and Christianna Utoro Njoku. Later in life he arrived in the United States from Nigeria where he played soccer as a kicker on a full scholarship and he was awarded the All Conference Kicker Award at Knoxville College between the years 1984 – 1985. He received his MBA on December 20, 1989 from University of District of Columbia. He was a loyal Facilities and Logistical employee for Health and Human Services in Rockville for 26 years. Everyone depended on him to get the job done when no one else could and when asked when he will retire he would reply for what”?

There was no one that he refused help because that was his nature. At times when there was a parking or trash issue in his neighborhood he would know the right people to get in touch with to take care of the situation. He was well admired and respected by everyone. He was a no nonsense person and would do whatever it takes to get the job done. Martin was a member of Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Gaithersburg where he would assist in taking up the collections. Martin was very much loved and will be missed deeply. There was not a day that passed that someone would inquire about his well-being. He was called back to his Creator on August 1, 2020.
