![]() Colonel Patrick
E. Riley USMCR, 60, of Germantown, MD passed away suddenly Sunday, December 2,
2018. He was born in Watertown, New York to the late John and Carol Riley. His
father was an accomplished and recognized leader in Army Special Forces. Pat retired from the Marine Corps with 30
years of world-wide service as an infantry officer. He combined military
service with a twenty-seven year career at Bechtel Power Corporation. His
passion for leadership led him to coach, teach and mentor several generations of
military and civilian leaders. In the toughest of circumstances, Pat could be
counted on to lead by example and from the front in both his professional and
personal life. His greatest joy was his family. He was devoted to his loving
wife Jackie and together shared in an extraordinary commitment to their children
and grandchildren. He passed away while on his hockey skates
participating in the sport he loved. Pat is
survived by his wife Jaqueline and two daughters Bridget Riley and Shannon
Smith. He was predeceased by his oldest daughter Kristen Gorman. He is also
survived by four grandchildren Brianna, Riley, Isaac, and Addison.
