James loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren especially. James and Fay were devoted and loving parents and grandparents, always putting family first. James was proud to be from Hoboken, New Jersey, and looked forward to family gatherings back in New Jersey with his parents, siblings, and extended families. James was fondly known to them as ?Sonny.? He was an avid photographer and videographer who provided his family with fantastic pictures to chronicle many of the important and memorable moments in all of their lives. Wedding, trips to the beach, holidays, graduations, and many other treasured occasions and events were beautifully captured for our enjoyment.
In addition to his family focus, James loved his work and was highly respected by his peers in the Aerospace industry, working on orbital guidance and navigational systems for many aerospace companies including the Bendi x Corporation, SpaceCom, Fairchild Industries, NASA and Goddard Space Flight Center, OAO, and finally, Orbital before retiring in 2009. Although James was quite modest about his many accomplishments, he was very proud of his work in the control center during many launches, often responsible for the success of the mission. James Blue earned his engineering degree at Steven's Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. James Charles Blue was truly was one of a kind.
